1. Energy-saving in agriculture-

The energy used for irrigation is one of the largest single energy users in agriculture. Approximately 16x109 kWh of electricity and 2,000 million liters of diesel oil are required annually for groundwater pumping.

• Pumping groundwater requires a great deal of energy, which can be reduced by using the power most efficiently, which means designing an efficient set of wells, having an efficient pumping unit, and using the pumped water in the most efficient way. • Ensure that your tube lights and bulbs are not obstructed by anything.
• You can save energy by using CFLs and LEDs. In comparison to incandescent bulbs, they consume less energy and provide the same amount of light.
• For maximum daylight inside, use light-colored, loose-weave curtains.

energy conservation in Transport systems-

Whenever possible, use public transportation rather than your private vehicle.

• It’s important to remove extra BOOT weight from your car. Items like a flat tire and heavy luggage can reduce the mileage of your vehicles.
• Small vehicles are more affected than large ones by the reduction based on their excess weight.
• It is more efficient to restart your car after more than one minute so keep fuel filters clean. Don’t use the clutch pedal as a footrest.
