Diksha - National Teacher Platform- Every Indian teacher has to navigate the complexities of student backgrounds and learning levels on a daily basis. A number of state and federal initiatives have been aimed at strengthening teachers' capacity to provide meaningful instruction so that students can achieve their full potential over the past few years. The time has come to implement solutions, initiatives, and innovations at scale to positively impact the lives of all teachers across the country. For teachers to play a vital role in the education of our children, they must have easy access to teaching and learning resources and opportunities for professional development.
The Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, has launched the National Teacher Platform (NTP) called Diksha. Teachers in schools, teacher trainers in teacher training institutions (TEI) and student teachers in TEIs can all access state-of-the-art Open Educational Resources (OER) on the platform. Students enrolling in TEIs and teachers retiring as teachers are taken into consideration in the design of the program.
Teaching and Learning- There are many variables involved in teaching and learning. Learning experiences enhance learners' knowledge, behaviors, and skills as they work toward their goals and incorporate new knowledge, behaviors, and skills.
There have been different perspectives on learning over the past century, including cognitive and constructivist. As opposed to considering these theories individually, it's best to integrate them into the learning experience as a range of possibilities. Other factors should be considered during the onboarding process, including cognitive style, learning style, learning style, and learning as it relates to people with special needs and cultures from different parts of the world.
Performance indicators for School Teachers- Teachers can use performance indicators to assess their own performance and continue to strive for excellence. In addition to assessing and giving constructive feedback on teachers' performance, supervisors/mentors can also use these documents.
Teachers are evaluated on the basis of performance indicators (PINDICS). A performance standard (PS), a specific standard, and a performance indicator are included.
Teachers perform their duties and responsibilities in accordance with performance standards. As part of the performance standards, teachers are required to perform certain tasks. A specific standard is one that complies with these requirements. Performance indicators are derived from specific standards.
NISHTHA Yojana- In an initiative aimed at building the capacities of educators and school principals at the elementary level, the National Initiative for School Heads' and Teachers' Holistic Advancement was launched.
As part of the Samagra Shiksha centralized regime in 2019-20, the Ministry of Human Resource Development's Department of School Education and Literacy offers an integrated teacher training program.
Atal Tinkering Laboratories- Young minds are encouraged to develop skills like design thinking, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing, rapid calculations, measurements, and others by participating in this program. Through the use of tools and equipment, students will be able to understand what, how, and why STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) is important.
