One Nation One Ration Card- NFSA established ONORC, the Department of Food Safety's food safety independent organization. NFSA grants access to entitlements to all ration card holders/beneficiaries across the country.
Benefits- Beneficiaries of the NFSA, especially those suffering from migration, now have the option of claiming foodgrains in full or in part from any Fair Price Shop (FPS) in the country, through the use of a ration card with biometric/Aadhaar authentication. The system also allows their family members back home to receive their ration cards if they have leftover grains.
Using the One Nation One Ration Card system, family members can also claim the remaining food grains on the same ration card as the NFSA beneficiaries or ration cardholders. It is possible for some migrant workers to claim their ration partially from their location, while the remaining ration is claimed by their family members in their native place.
